Enagic machines produce filtered, electrolysed reduced Kangen Water for drinking ranging from pH 8.5-9.5.
The internal filter removes remaining chlorine (bleaching powder), effluvium, rust and other
impurities yet maintains the essential minerals required for ionisation.
Kangen Water is produced through a process of electrolysis which separates the positive and negative ions creating oxidised (bottom hose) and akalised (top hose) water.
During electrolysis process, water is split into two ions. Hydrogen ions (H+) and hydroxide ions (OH-).
On the primary side of the ionisers chamber, the positively charged hydrogen ions are attracted to the negative electrode (cathode) and gain an electron which becomes a hydrogen atom.
It combines with another to produce a molecule of hydrogen and some of that gas
dissolves.
That enriches that side of the chamber with hydroxide ions (alkaline) and hydrogen gas.
On the other side of the chamber the negatively charged hydroxide ions are drawn to the positive electrode (anode) and they lose an electron. That makes the hydroxide ion unstable and it splits apart to form an oxygen atom and a hydrogen ion.
Two oxygen atoms combine to form oxygen gas which some dissolves and on that side of the chamber is now enriched with hydrogen ions (acidic) and oxygen gas.
Kangen WaterTM has a high negative charge or ORP (Oxidised Reduction Potential) which means it can help reduce oxidative stress to the body.
Unlike bottled "Akaline" water which is created by adding minerals to the water, because Kangen WaterTM is produced through electrolysis, using the existing minerals like Calcium and Magnesium already in the water.
Magnesium carbonate for example, is separated during the electrolysis process with the pure magnesium ions coming out the top hose in the 9.5 drinking water and the carbonate is broken down and comes out the bottom (waste) hose. All the naturally occurring minerals are separated into their pure ionic mineral form for optimal absorption, without the risk
of mineral build up in the body.
